Translation proposal

Women on the Train I’m looking for a translator to translate one of my novels, The Woman on the Train, from English to German or French.

The novel, 27,700 words long, is set in Occupied France during the Second World War.

I’ll be honest – I can’t afford the usual translator rate of about €0.09 per word, as that’d work out at about €2,500.

Instead, I’m offering a royalty-sharing model, based on the model offered by Babelcube.com but, in the longer-term, more generous (and without the need to pay Babelcube their 15 per cent). I’m offering the translator 50 per cent of all revenue for life (or at least until my demise!)

The novel sells at a steady rate on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and hopefully could sell equally well in Germany or France. But of course there’s no guarantee.

If you want to know more about the novel, you can read an extract of TWotT here.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Rupert.
